I had rwm6.7b-5 installed, i downloaded the bugfix 6.71 and installed it, everything seemed ok, but when loading a map, it gave me error.

unkown sound scheme us_76

Should I download and install the 6.7final first and then the 6.71bugfix??
somebody can help please???

I thought the 6.7b-5 was the final, at least the name and size of the file is the same.

Yes the "RWM 6.7 B5 final" (final beta) is not the same than "RWM 6.7 final"
(But in fact and unfortunately, They have almost the same filename...).
The good version is the "RWM 6.7 final" of link in this topic and with the 6.71 patch link.

Although not very important, but for have a clean instal.
If you has already instal old RWM (by example : v 6.7 B5 final...) version in same SS2 folder,
I advice you to delete (manually) older RWM versions of you SS2 instal folder before the new instal (RWM 6.7 final + patch 6.71).
Delette :
- .../Sudden.../game/'RWM...'
and
- .../Sudden.../ss2switcher/'RWM...'
(the good RWM 6.71 folder to keep in ss2switcher folder is 'rwm6.7f').

hey, is there any way you could possibly break that down into small sections (about 10-15MB each bit) because my internet connection is faulty, and it only gets about 15MB through downloading then it stops

I think community is already to small for hosting a torrent isn`t it? :?

forget about the whole 15MB thing. it managed to download... with a lot of time...

ive downloaded all the stuff, installed it into the SS2 folder, and it didnt work. so i tried different random stuff and it still didnt work. and so i re-installed SS2 and it didnt work. and i re-installed EVERYTHING and it didnt work. and i even found some other RWM stuff on other websites, installed them and guess what? it didnt work.

any help would be appreciated  maybe a list of EVERYTHING I will need to download and install to use RWM 6.7 (putting them in the order i need to install them would be helpful too)

ive been trying to do all this and other similar stuff for almost a week now and ITS NOT WORKING!! maybe im not cut out for the whole technical thing

What do you mean when you say "it didn't work"? Can you be a bit more precise? Failure messages...?

Should be just the game + patches + RWM.

Cheers

just about every single Failure Message my computer could think of came up... and when I try to play the game or map editor (irrelivant of how, in the program files or on the RWM) it says "please insert the Sudden Strike II CD-ROM"... even though its been in there the whole time. and yes, i did try taking it out and putting it back in

besides that, it never came up with that message when the CD wasnt in the computer anyway

Nuke everything.

Go into System Tools then Software then select SSII and uninstall it completely.

Restart your computer.

Reinstall SSII from scratch. If you haven't got Direct X install that too.

Download the two patches - 1.9-2.0 then 2.0-2.2 (I think thats what they're called anyway). Get them from the download page Barbarossa gave you a link to earlier. Install them in that order.

Then install RWM 6.7 then the 6.71 patch into your new SSII folder.

Then cross your fingers.

Then open the MMS, select RWM 6.71 from the dropdown and bob should be your uncle.

Cheers
