I hope this goes here.

So, after a lot of time, I wanted to play this great mod again. I downloaded it from sudden-strike-maps.de, noticed that it says stand alone, and just unziped it. Started switcher and started the game through it. Loaded units map and the game crashed after 5 seconds of browsing around. It happens every time. Did I missed something? Do I need SS2RW installed in order to work?

No the test map has just a little bug.
If you recieve a back to windows on the testmap when the train is entering, download the testmap in the attachments.

Worked like a charm, thanks Barbie. So, where is everybody? Rather empty on the switcher, is everybody on sudden arena?

No we were forced from the arena-admin to leave that place for now, he deleted the RWM section. But that doesnt matter for the moment.
RWM community still active in the evening, same status like the last 3 years^^
Keep an eye on the switcher in the evening and visit us in the RWM TS.
Btw here is the 8.0 forum. viewforum.php?f=144
You cant post there in english aswell, we are a liberal place.

best regards

Thanks for all the hard work. I rediscovered SSII after many years having played previous versions of RWM but this version is a real upgrade in every way. I am spending time looking at the various units on the test map currently just to find my feet but will start playing fairly soon. I found installing very easy and used the instructions for sound on Windows 7 easy to follow. It runs well on Windows XP as well.It seems that legends never die and I am glad to see that there is still lots of interest out there. :D :D
