my other program "SuddenStrikeMapUnpacker" and "SS-Phrase-Editor" is inspired by the link "TOOLS for Translating of Sudden Strike Missions!".
My program simplifies unpacking and packing SS2/SSRW maps into individual blocks and can conveniently repack them (including *.gz archiving) into the resulting map. When repacking, the correct binary header must be set according to the map type. But you can certainly test that yourself. The second program can unpack the I-PHRASE2 block into the text form __I-PHRASE and allows text editing (translation of phrases) and repacking into a binary block.
I added the new programs to my profile - https://github.com/JJJCZ?tab=repositories.
The programs have the advantage that they do not require external programs UnpackSSM.exe, PackSSM.exe, Renamer.exe. Try it.
I'm sorry, but the Phrase Editor still has some minor bugs. I'll try to fix them as soon as possible.
3.8.2026 - fixed Phrase Editor - added text encoding change switch
