Fäby - Brest-Litovsk 1941
My next MP Map/Mission will be the Battle at Brest-Litovsk 1941, with the "Mörser Karl".
I have found an old 256*256 SP Map from SuddenStrike 2 which is compatibel with the WWM.
Original Mapper: Unkown ??? (i hope i can use it) if somebody knows the Original Mapper, write here.
On 3 January 1941 Heavy Battery (schwere Batterie) 833 was created at the Bergen training ground and ordered to be combat ready by 15 February 1941. On 2 April 1941 it was expanded into Heavy Artillery Battalion (schwere Artillerie Bataillon) 833. The original Batterie 833 was redesignated as the first battery of the new battalion and a new second battery was formed, each battery having two howitzers, with orders to be combat ready by 1 May 1941 in preparation for Operation Barbarossa. Initially a single battery was to be deployed against the Soviet fortress at Brest-Litovsk, but that was changed by 14 May 1941 when the other battery was ordered to attack the Soviet border fortifications near Lviv. The first battery was assigned to IV Army Corps of 17th Army of Army Group South near Lviv while the second battery was ordered to support the attack by the 4th Army of Army Group Center against the Brest Fortress. The batteries were issued 60 and 36 rounds respectively.

Re: Brest-Litovsk 1941
Hi.
Brest-Litovsk was a massive 19th centrury fortress along the Bug river in the west of the city. It had massive casemates which were used as shelter for troops, supply and ammunition. The walls were extremely thick and covered by layers of earth and rocks making it impossible to penetrate even for the german 17 cm and 21 cm mortars.
Before WW1 several heavy bunker fortresses were added some 3-4 km in front of the original fortress but the outbreack of the war stoped this before all positions were finished.

The Karl Mörser was added in Hidden Stroke 2 iirc but it was not possible to reload him.

Krieg ist die Fortsetzung der Politik mit anderen Mitteln. Es erhebt sich nur die Frage, ob er immer nötig ist. Wehret den Anfängen!!!!!
Re: Brest-Litovsk 1941
Hello
And because of the river and the long range of the mod, a 2vs2 will be perfekt, maybe max.3vs3
Thx for the big map, didn`t found one.

oh keine Ahnung aus welchem Mod der ist, oder ob der neu ist? Im SSNMod2 gab es auch einen.uwe72dd hat geschrieben:@fäby,

I think the germans must attack and russian must play defense.combo hat geschrieben:

Re: Brest-Litovsk 1941
... das ist übrigens so nicht korrekt. Zum beladen muss(te) man "nur" mit dem Mörser Karl an den Versorger fahren, statt mit dem Versorger an den Mörser Karl.tom hat geschrieben:but it was not possible to reload him.
Re: Brest-Litovsk 1941

Re: Brest-Litovsk 1941
Another Test
After a Error we must load the save and we can go on, but my and only my minimap was dark and i cannot use "M" anymore.....but the Red Army win this battle, because we get the german start zepp for more heavy bombers. (next days i will make an update with better balance)
Thanks to Weidling, Wüstenfuchs and Herb85 for testing.
